As well as producing the wide range of sculptures, I work with individuals and art consultants on bespoke sculptures for on site installation. Sculptures are suitable for interior domestic, corporate and public environments.

Surge Sculptures - Blue Sky Hotel, Dubai,
I worked on a commission for large Surge sculptures to be installed in a hotel and luxury apartment block located in Dubai.
Time Line: Initial inquiry to start of making was 3 months. The lead time for completion of both works was a further 4 months.

Making Process
The construction of the sculptures is entirely hand-built, starting with a ‘core’ and adding coils. As the form grows the sculpture is altered and honed, from the center out, to maintain the integrity of the total form. |

Firing
Each sculpture was made to accommodate the maximum dimensions of the kiln: Width 64cm, Depth 50cm, Height 64cm. During the firing process the sculpture shrinks between 5-10cm |

Application of Colour
Multiple layers of colour are applied first as a wash and then sponged on to create depth and subtle colour variations. |

Final Works
Each finished sculpture is sealed and polished. They are now located in a public lobby of the hotel |
